Luke 1:38– “I am the Lord’s servant. Let it be done unto me according to your Word.”
Can you imagine how Mary must have felt when receiving the Word from the angel of the Lord that she was pregnant with child? But not just any child, the son of the Most High God. Do what? Can you imagine? She was a thirteen-year-old virgin. How was she to explain this to her family? She would be the ridicule of her town. Who would understand? What about Joseph her fiancé? How would he accept this? The angel affirms to Mary that “nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37). And to Mary’s credit, one of the reasons she found favor with God (Luke 1:30), was that her response to such an impossible Word was, “Let it be done unto me according to your Word” (Luke 1:38).
I’m wondering, when you read some of the promises of the Lord, as impossible as some of them might seem in relation to your current situation, what is your response? Because God is not asking you to figure it out and He definitely isn’t expecting it to make sense to your natural thinking. But “Every promise of God’s is “Yes” and “Amen” (so be it) (2 Corinthians 1:20). All He is listening for from us is the same response that Mary had, “Let it be done to me according to your Word” (Luke 1:38). You must get over doubt and unbelief to receive from God.
This year can be the year that everything turns around for you if you will align your faith with God’s Word. This year like none other will be the year where what comes out of your mouth will have a quicker and greater impact than ever before. The year 2020 in the Hebrew calendar is the year 5780. The Hebrew alphabet is made up of numbers. The year 5780 in Hebrew means to – Speak & See. So, if you will make confessions of faith (Hebrews 10:23) in God’s promises you will See them come quicker and greater than ever before. I encourage you to find some promises and start speaking. I have a routine and it comes from the principle of – Win the first hour of the day and Win the day. Every morning with my cup of coffee before I check emails, FB or anything on my phone, I spend one-hour making declarations and affirmations from the Word of God over my day and my life. It’s called “Winning the Day”.
Find some promises of God and start speaking.
I want to encourage you today. Many of us have received Words from the Lord that seem outlandish and virtually impossible. Words that seem totally opposite from what it looks like in the natural. The angel encouraged Mary by telling her “NOTHING is impossible with God!” God is simply looking for our heart’s response to be like Mary’s. Whenever God gives us a Word, we must first remember that it’s His Word to us, not our Word for ourselves. Meaning, if we will continue believing, standing in faith and speaking what we’re believing, He will bring it to pass. God has all intentions of fulfilling His Word…IF. I say it like this, IF is the biggest word in the Bible. Everything in our lives hinges on IF we will believe. Jesus said, “IF you believe, you will receive”. The woman who had the blood disease for twelve years SAID (declaration of her faith) “IF I can touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed” (Matthew 9:21). When the words that come out of your mouth agree with what God has said, no matter how impossible it looks, even what seems outlandish will be done unto you. That is what God is saying to us through Isaiah in Isaiah 55:11 “My Word that goes out from my mouth: it (the Word) will not return to me void (useless) but it (the Word) shall accomplish that whereto I send (speak) it.” When God gives us a Word (promise), whether it is His written Word in the Bible or a prophetic Word spoken to us by Holy Spirit, He is asking us to simply believe, receive and speak them by faith. Our salvation began with that principle, believe and declare, and the rest of our faith walk is built upon that principle. “IF you believe in your heart that God raised Christ from the dead and DECLARE with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). At the moment of the DECLARATION of your faith, God honored the words that came out of your mouth with salvation, because your words agreed with His Word. Whenever God gives us a Word that is not a current event, He is giving it to us as a prophetic Word about our future. Prophetic meaning that it’s the speaking forth of your destiny. Your faith will never exceed your DECLARATIONS. So, let the words that you speak always agree with what God has said.
If you will speak God’s promises you will see God’s promises.
My prayer for you today is that the Spirit of faith will consume you to the point that you will not allow yourself to be talked out of what God is wanting to do. That you will Speak & See.
If you have any prayer needs, please email me and I will join my faith with yours.
