Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.”
Are you truly aware of all you can accomplish with God? I’m convinced that most of us aren’t. That’s why we settle for mediocre, half-hearted lives. I believe that many of us are going through life carrying heavy loads and baggage, that we were not created to have. We feel weighed down by life’s problems and circumstances. Others have simply surrendered to living in a box of limitation. We’ve put limits on what we believe we are capable of and have lost our sense of purpose and fulfillment. In looking at the opportunity before them (in spite of the negativity of others and the overwhelming natural circumstance), Joshua and Caleb boldly proclaimed that “We are well able” (Numbers 13:30). And they did overcome the negative critical opposition, to possess what God said they could. These boxes of negativity, limitation, and self-defeat must be overcome in order to fulfill the plans of the Lord for our lives. When we do overcome these boxes then we will experience success and satisfaction.
Many people need to break out of the “Box of Pain”. I admit that life can be tough and sometimes even unfair. Jesus tells us that in this world we will have tests, trials, and tribulations (John 16:33). “But be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”(John 16:33). It can be discouraging at times when we don’t know which way is up or where to go from here. When the pain of disappointment has become overwhelming. As difficult as it may feel (and I’m telling you from experience), if you’ll replace your cries of pain with shouts of victory and determination, your pain will be turned into joy. Because Jesus’ victory becomes your victory when you by faith celebrate what He has done for you. Many times, we must celebrate by faith, meaning that faith goes against our feelings of hurt and pain (2 Corinthians 5:7). It’s the way out of the “Box of Pain”.
Many people need to break out of the “Box of Doubt”. If you are still doubting and questioning your worth and whether or not you have a purpose, begin praying, asking God to reveal His heart for you. Start daily decreeing verses over your life – reminding yourself of who you are In Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 2:10, Ephesians 4:24, Colossians 3:9,10). These are just a few scriptures – there are dozens more that reveal your worth and value. Again, as you daily declare these scriptures over yourself, the doubt and unbelief will be diminished and eliminated. God has chosen you for such a time as this. That means that you are well able to accomplish and fulfill every desire of your heart because greater is He that is in you (1 John 4:4).
Don’t you think that it’s about time that you stop thinking small and believing small? By breaking out of the Boxes of pain and doubt, your plans will succeed. The God of the universe is your Father. Greatness is in your DNA and in your lineage. Your Father loves you with an everlasting love. His Perfect Love defeats the fear that pain has produced and overcomes the doubt that circumstances have imposed. God is telling you to not be afraid! “The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom (what) shall, I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom (what) shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). It’s your time to break out of the Boxes of pain, doubt and fear and enter into your destiny!
My prayer for you today is that you will break out of every Box and know the joy of living up to your full potential.
Pointing People to Jesus,
“On Earth as it is in Heaven!”
